Most things in life take time. Let The Lube Dudes give some back through the convenience of on-site vehicle servicing.
Imagine:
... not having to wait in line, or having to arrange a ride to accommodate dropping off/picking up your vehicle.
... being able to speak directly with a qualified technician rather than a Service Advisor whose primary mission is to sell you stuff you don’t necessarily need.
... the convenience of on-line scheduling and selecting from a rich menu of vehicle maintenance options.
... having access to your vehicle service history without having to contact the shop.
The Lube Dudes can provide all of this and more. We come to your place of business and service your car while you work. Once you try it, we think you’ll enjoy the quality and convenience enough to use us again.
About the founder
Norbert Reichhold immigrated to this country from Germany
in 1956 at the age of four. Back in those days, one needed
(among other things) a job and a sponsor before one could
immigrate to this country. Norbert’s father had a job
waiting at Foreign Motors in Boston, and began his American
Dream as a Volkswagen mechanic.
To make ends meet, Norbert’s Dad would “moonlight” on weekends by repairing cars at home. Norbert soon became Dad’s helper by first handing him tools/cleaning parts and eventually performing repairs under Dad’s watchful eye. By the time Norbert was 10, he had performed multiple engine swaps and was permanently hooked on all things mechanical (but especially cars!).
Norbert learned to drive (a clutch) at a very early age and couldn’t wait to finally get his license. At the age of 15, he purchased a run down Mercedes 190SL for $300 and performed a frame-up restoration which he completed by the time he got his license.
Norbert attended college and majored in Mechanical Engineering. When, upon graduating and finding jobs in his field scarce, Norbert fell back on his roots and spent 12 years as an automotive service professional. During this time he was nominated for Mercedes Benz Technician of the year and worked directly for Mercedes Benz of North America as a Field Service Technician.
After getting married in 1981, Norbert decided to tackle a new career which culminated in the management of a systems support group in a major computer company. After 15 years in the high tech. field, Norbert’s company downsized and he seized this opportunity to revert back (full time) to his first love – cars.
Norbert’s automotive skills were never allowed to get rusty during those High Tech. years. Maintaining an ever-expanding extended family fleet of vehicles kept him in tune with all the latest hardware and software.
To prove his capabilities (primarily to himself), Norbert set a goal to obtain his ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Master Technician Certification before officially kicking off The Lube Dudes. He took (and passed) a battery of 8 tests in three weeks which certified him in the following areas:
- Engine Repair
- Automatic Transmission/Transaxle
- Manual Drive Train and Axles
- Suspension and Steering
- Brakes
- Electrical/Electronic Systems
- Heating and Air Conditioning
- Engine Performance
